23 Employers at El Paso Employment Agency’s Final 2020 Virtual Job Fair

A national tech job recruiter looking for people to work from home will be part of Workforce Solutions Borderplex’s final job fair of the year.

The Maryland-based recruiter, TekSystems, is one of 23 employers who will participate in the virtual job fair from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday.

This is the public employment agency’s 11th virtual job fair of the year, which has become necessary due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

An Austin-based recruiter for TekSystems is immediately seeking candidates to fill a six-month contract position as a visual designer for Facebook’s global business marketing team at $50 an hour. The recruiter is also looking for someone to fill a six-month entrepreneurial position as a mobile app designer for Ulta Beauty at $50 an hour.

The recruiter is also looking for CVs of qualified candidates for future openings as product designers, visual designers, illustrators, graphic designers, product managers, marketing managers and other contractor jobs for various companies, said Bianca Cervantes, door -word of Workforce Solutions.

“The pandemic has made this possible because jobs are no longer limited to one location, but can be work-from-home positions,” Cervantes said. “We’re trying to open up the (El Paso) market” for high-paying work-from-home positions.

“It’s the silver lining of the pandemic,” she said.

Employers include: Alorica, GC Services, Spectrum, TLC Associates, IDA Technology, Outreach Health Services, Healthcare Administration Unlimited, Caprock Home Health Services, Franklin Heights Nursing and Rehab Center, Paso Del Norte Children’s Learning Center, Professional Contract Services Inc., Sky Transportation, Wild West Express, Muñoz Trucking, Perfect Weather Heating and Cooling, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 583 union, El Paso Paper Box Inc., YWCA, Texas Health and Human Services Commission and recruitment agencies Aerotek, Volt Workforce Solutions and The Job Connection.

Registration for the job fair, which includes uploading a CV, can be done via the Workforce Solutions website. A informative video is also available online.

A laptop or tablet and internet access are required to participate in the virtual job fair, Cervantes said. People without internet access can log on to the employment agency’s free Wi-Fi system in the parking lots outside the currently closed Workforce Solutions employment offices: 8825 N. Loop Drive; 8941 Dyer Street; 6351 S. Desert Blvd.; and 13998 Horizon Blvd. in Horizon City.

Job seekers should dress as if they were attending the job fair in person in case someone wants to do a video interview, Cervantes said.
