Ben Cole has joined the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) as Director of Employee Training and Development.
Employee training is an essential part of SORTA’s five-year strategic plan. In this role, Cole will ensure that SORTA staff have access to the training programs, systems and tools they need for immediate and future success, including leadership and management training, as well as operational training. and specialized.
Cole brings with him two decades of experience in training, employee development, organizational development and talent management. Most recently, he served as Associate Director of Training at Cincinnati-based Tide Cleaners, after spending two years in Milan, Italy as Global Training Director for Luxottica.
Prior to his time overseas, Cole worked at the Luxottica campus in Mason, Ohio, first as Senior Director of Learning and Development and later as Director of Learning and Development. Prior to that, he spent time in training and leadership roles at Chiquita Brands International; Anthem, Inc.; and Cummins, Inc.
Cole received his Bachelor of Music from Butler University in Indianapolis and his Masters in Organizational Development from Bowling Green State University.
