Faculty and staff are invited to submit proposals for employee development dayto keep online February 8, 2023.
Employee Development Day is a new event at Saint Leo University that is dedicated to the professional development of all university workers. Whether you’re a new hire or celebrating your 25th job anniversary, professional development is imperative. By engaging in professional development opportunities, you’ll expand your knowledge base, build your confidence, keep up to date with industry trends, and connect with colleagues.
The theme for the inaugural event is “Cultivating Community”. In this time of transformation, both at Saint Leo University and in higher education, it is the perfect time to come together with a common goal. Thanks to the employee development day, we will be able to work together, share ideas and grow personally and professionally.
The event organizers invite submissions on all topics related to this year’s theme, “Cultivating Community”. Proposals should generally address topics related to professional development and workplace wellness. Please submit a presentation, workshop or panel proposal of approximately 150 words. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, December 2, 2022. If you are new to presenting, we encourage you to submit! If you have an idea you would like to discuss before submitting a proposal, you can indicate it on the proposal form, and the event organizers will schedule a meeting with you.
Employee Development Day is for all employees at each location, including remote workers. This includes full-time and part-time staff, professors, adjunct instructors, and student workers. Please keep the audience in mind when planning your proposal.
